Dear Art Lovers and Collectors,
I hope this letter finds you happy,
and ready for the dreamy, long days of summer. Here in Northern California it has been unusually cool,
so warming visions of vacation and beautiful beaches are
most welcome!
The painting
in this month's sanctuary is inspired by my
recent holiday in Jamaica. Whenever I
travel, paints are sure to make it into my suitcase, and
many a blissful hour was spent deeply drinking in the
sizzling beauty of the Carribean through my paintbrush
(ok, I admit it, I drank in some of those tropical
Jamaican Rum yummies, too...).
Vacation time in Reaggae land was
heavenly, yet nothing connects me to the spirit of the
land like the contemplation of painting.
Still feeling the tropical warmth, and
listening to the heartbeat rhythms of soulful reaggae, I
completed "Jamaican Sanctuary" in my studio...warming
up cool California afternoons.
This month you can see some of my
paintings displayed at Karlene Dahlmeier's gallery,
along with other artists. Come visit on June 15th
for a reception. You can also see some of my work at
York Gallery.
I'm excited to announce that high quality Giclee Prints of selected paintings

Watch for
announcements of upcoming shows. August I will be
exhibiting at gallery Tonantzin in San Juan Bautista, as
well as at the Mountain Art Guild.

Negril, Jamaica, has a
seemingly endless, seven mile sand beach. My
husband and I walked the entire glorious stretch.
Happily finding shade under the above trees, I felt
myself disappear into the endless aqua sea, far away from
everyday life. Vowing to paint this blissful expanse,
I absorbed the timeless spirit of that moment into every
cell of my body.
